The Sol Goldman Pancreatic Cancer Research Center, 2008 The Sol Goldman Charitable Trust, a New York-based philanthropy endowed The Sol Goldman Pancreatic Cancer Research Center at Johns Hopkins in 2005. This center supports a multi-disciplinary team of physicians and scientists. The gift of $10 million to endow the center, one of the largest ever to a pathology department, represents the remarkable vision of Jane Goldman, a New York real estate developer. After losing her mother, Lillian Goldman, to pancreatic cancer in 2002, Jane decided to take action against the disease that took her mother's life. With the help of her husband, Dr. Benjamin Lewis, the family approached the team at Johns Hopkins with the goal of endowing a pancreatic cancer research center that would not only combat this terrible disease, but would also honor the legacy of Jane's parents, Sol and Lillian Goldman.

Accelerated Translational Pilot Incubator Program:
Pilot and Collaborative Translational and Clinical Studies The Accelerated Translation Incubator Program is a focused funding program designed to startup or facilitate new translational oriented research projects by clinical and non-clinical faculty at Johns Hopkins University. It provides reasonable funds to initiate, carry out and complete early or mid-stage projects designed to aid in the development of new therapies (e.g. small molecule, biological), devices or approaches to clinical research. The program employs a milestone driven approach that requires collaboration among the clinicians and scientists necessary to complete projects. Finally it employs Project Navigators to facilitate the timely and successful completion of all aspects of clinically oriented projects. All projects undergo external review by a group of Pharmaceutical and Biotech executives, non-Profit disease organizations, as well as venture capitalist funding groups in order to facilitate follow-on funding and development of translational products
